Privacy policy
What we do with the information you send us, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.
Who we are
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Lumina Designed, a design and build business working across the United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us by telephone on 07368 632199 or by email at info@luminadesignbuild.co.uk, or through the contact page.
What this policy covers
It covers the website at www.luminadesignbuild.co.uk and the ways you can contact us from it: the enquiry form, the telephone number, the WhatsApp link and the Instagram and TikTok links. It does not cover the information we handle once a project is agreed; that is dealt with in the paperwork for the project.
What we collect, and why
When you send the enquiry form
We receive your name, your email address, your telephone number if you give it, the type of project if you choose one, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to read your enquiry, reply to you and, if you ask us to, arrange a visit or prepare a proposal. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, once you ask us to quote, the steps needed before entering into a contract with you.
When you call, message us on WhatsApp or contact us on Instagram or TikTok
We receive your number or your handle and what you tell us. We use it for the same purpose: to answer you. Calls are not recorded. WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok have their own privacy policies, which apply to those services.
When you simply visit the site
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (including IP addresses) to serve the pages and protect the service, which is their legitimate interest and ours in keeping the site available and secure.
Who else sees it
- The form service. The enquiry form sends your message to Formspree, a form-handling service run by Formspree, Inc. in the United States, which emails it to our inbox and keeps a copy in our account so that a message is not lost. Formspree acts on our instructions and sees only what you type into the form.
- Our hosting provider. The pages are served by Vercel, whose servers handle the technical logs described above.
- Our email provider. Our email runs on Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited, so your enquiry sits in that account like any other message.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for marketing, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it or you ask us to. We do not make automated decisions about you.
Some of these providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to answer you and to deal with any project that follows from it. An enquiry that does not lead to a project is deleted once it is clearly closed. Project records are kept for as long as our obligations under the contract, tax law and our insurance require.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, the form is sent over an encrypted connection, and access to the inbox that receives enquiries is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for a copy in a form you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of these, call us on 07368 632199 or email info@luminadesignbuild.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather hear from you first, so that we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will change this page and the date at the top of it. This version was last updated on 13 September 2026.
