Qabaña.

Designed to be used mostly after dark, so the light is set where it will be seen then.

The seating area is covered by a canopy in a pale finish and panelled floor to ceiling in deep green fluted panelling. A continuous buttoned banquette in the same green runs along the wall, and matching loose chairs take the open side of each table. The tables have brass-toned frames and dark glass tops.

Concealed warm LED runs at floor level, under the banquette and around each table base, so the light comes up from the floor and reads in the glass. The illuminated wordmark and a neon artwork sit on the panelling, with wall lanterns between. Underfoot, the floor is large-format tile with a stone effect.

Overhead heaters are mounted into the canopy, so the room works beyond summer.

Qabaña is a hospitality fit-out by Lumina Designed: a covered seating area drawn, priced and built by one UK design and build team. Restaurants, bars and covered terraces are fitted out the same way, from the shell to the signage, and handed over ready to trade.
